BBM for Windows Phone 8 Coming Soon


It's only been 24 hours since BlackBerry resumed the rollout of BBM for iOS, Android and rumors on other versions of the application have already emerged online. According to BlackBerry Leaks, a reliable source in the past ...



           BlackBerry‘s demise is well documented. The company first announced it was exiting the consumer market and then quickly afterward it was revealed they would be bought out and move to the private sector.

 All of this happened while BlackBerry Messenger was set to port to Android and iOS, All of this happened in the span of less than a week.

While the company sorts itself out, one of the lingering questions has been if BlackBerry Messenger would be coming to Windows Phone and if so, when?
That very question was hinted in Hong Kong by Gary Klassen, BlackBerry Messenger’s creator and principle:
“BBM will not be limited to just Android or iOS. We are open to other platforms also. We want more are more people to enjoy and experience BBM.”

When compared to the user bases of WhatsApp, which has 300 million users, or Skype, the BBM user base of 60 million is small. Even Kik Messenger surpassed the platform last month. Still, that’s a lot of users to satisfy and if the company can spread to other platforms, including Windows Phone, it stands to possibly gain a lot of that user loyalty.

There’s a lot of unanswered questions that hang in the balance while BlackBerry continues to struggle. Hopefully we’ll be able to bring you some definitive answers soon. In the meantime, would you like to see BBM on your Live Tiles?
